Gypsy Psychic Scams

I just finished reading stories on a site that "outs" scam artist psychics... aka "gypsy psychics".

While I do feel sympathetic for those who "lost" money to an extent, one story I read told about a guy who gave more than $50,000 to  so called psychics, over the period of 9 years. In this story, he talked about how he kept feeling, in his gut, that it was wrong. He said himself that nothing ever seemed to get better.

OK. Am I crazy? WHY on Earth, would you give SOO much money away to someone, when you constantly see NO positive changes and you "feel, in your gut" that you are being ripped off?

The story talked about the gypsy(s) mentioning "God" and "Jesus" at every turn. This is what made the guy feel like the different "psychics" he went to were legit ((yes, he went back for more, and to her "sisters" for more help when her "help" didn't seem to work)). It made him feel it was more legit, because "the spirits told her" that he needed to "sacrifice" large sums of money, so God would know he was serious.

REALLY?

First, for someone to profess that "God" told them something.... that's pretty bold!
Well, God DOES talk to me, and He said for me to tell the world to STOP BEING SO DENSE!
He told me to tell ya'll that He "ONLY TALKS TO PEOPLE DIRECTLY". He "does not need humans" to convey His messages, Damn It! And the so-called "good book"...well that is all screwed up too. It has ALL been a HUGE misunderstanding that bad men have taken over for their OWN GAINS!! That is STRAIGHT from God!

No, your preacher, priest, guru, psychic (or whatever) does NOT have a "special line" to Him. It is the same line we ALL have, silly people!!

No, your preacher, priest, guru, psychic (or whatever) does NOT have "super powers" any more than YOU DO.

What DO we know?

Positive thoughts, and the way you perceive the world around you, greatly affects your life. For example, when my grandfather died, many were devastated that he was now "gone". After taking care of him, 24/7, for the last three months of his life, I knew he had been trapped in a body that was exhausted and broken. He was a prisoner of a mind that sent him all kinds of crazy, mixed up memories and messages. He was gone for at least two of those three months, and by "gone" I really mean trapped. The death of his body was a freeing...a release. He is now free to exist without pain, without confusion, and with peace.
So, I was not as sad as others. I was sad because I missed my healthy, happy Grandfather, but that was not as big as my sense of his being released from the pain and confusion he knew in his last months.

And I believe his passing made it so he can be with me all the time now.
I don't CARE if you think I am crazy. I feel loved ones who have passed. It is subtle, quiet...peaceful. When you think of them, they are with you.

When I ask for a sign about a decision I need to make, and look up to see something that was significant to my Grandfather, or Grandmother, or other loved one or friend who's passed, with a clear indication of what I should do, you can't ever convince me that it wasn't a sign from them. I don't care about your skepticism.

I believe that passing over, leaving our bodies here on this little blue and green planet, is only the beginning of something we cannot even fathom. There aren't words to explain realms of existence we couldn't understand, being held captive by our tiny little brains. Our brains are the physical world's mental cage...why else would people strive for "astral projection" and the like?

So see, it is in how you look at it.

My great Grandfather told me that if I didn't like how things looked, either change things or change my viewpoint. If you cannot change something, change how you think about it. THAT is the key to happiness!

That is manifesting thought.

So, back to those "psychics"...
You can go visit them and be taken, making them more wealthy. You can go and have them send you home with an inexpensive candle and a red ribbon to tie around your wrist to remember to manifest what it is you want. You can pay them $200, $500, $9,990, or $50,000.
OR, you can do this Ritual (below) and send ME the money. I won't lie to you and tell you it's for God, or that I won't use it myself. Most likely it will be used for good, because I don't like to spend money on bad things or people. But it will be for ME, a child of God...so it would be for God anyway, right?

HERE GOES:
Do a little research on candle colors ("colors and their meanings" in google or bing), or just "go with your gut".
Pick a color that has meaning for you, and buy a candle. I like to use the 7 day glass candles, often found in Latin markets, but use what YOU feel strongest about. Relax, it will come to you!
"Spell" out (this is where the word "spell" came from, btw) exactly what you'd like to have happen (WARNING: Do not try to effect others, only yourself!! ~karma~)
Write down, on a little slip of paper (can also be colorful if it makes it more meaningful for YOU), what you want or want to get rid of.
Check the phase of the Moon: you'll want the waning moon for getting rid of something, and the waxing moon for building or gains.
Wait until the time is right, or just do your ritual when YOU feel it will be most powerful.
Settle in a happy, clean-feeling space where you can complete the whole ritual, and where you won't be interrupted.
State out loud that you are only intending outcome that benefits...you want no harm for yourself or others (remember KARMA), and the greatest good for the greatest cause, God (or Universal Energy, or whatever YOU call It) WILLING.
State out loud, that negative energies are NOT allowed to be a part of your Ritual. Say this with POWER and CONFIDENCE (and in your own words, clear and to the point).
Light the candle, while INTENDING the purpose you chose.
Ask for what you want to come to you, or for what you want to clear away. Don't forget "Please", and God WILLING (or however you say it).
Meditate (relax, breathe deeply, in through your nose and out through your mouth, try to focus only on your breath) and just KNOW it will happen. Just KNOW.

Light the paper you wrote your wish on, and let it burn away, releasing your request to the Universe (or God, or whatever word you use).

Now let it go. Forget about it.

Place the candle in a safe place, allow it to burn out completely (if you want to be safe, or cannot have a candle burning for a long time, try using a tea light or other small candle.)
You can tie a ribbon or yarn (of the significant color you chose) around your wrist if you feel it will help you manifest, but remember to let it go, out into the Universe (I don't personally use the reminder, how can it be "let go of" if you keep thinking about it?)

There's your $50,000 ritual. You can send me all the money, minus the cost of the candle and ribbon, if you don't think it will work without sending the money, but the only payment I really ask, is that you pay/play it forward. No chain letters, no scams, just share it FOR FREE, no consequences for not doing it.

Find that quiet, peaceful voice inside...the one you say you "should have listened to". For me, it is very very subtle...very quiet.(( That's why MY rituals are as simple as possible. If I "try too hard", it always backfires!)) Find that quiet, peaceful inner voice that tells you what is really right and wrong, and build a relationship with THAT voice. That is your intuition...your own personal “Voice of God”.
And again, remember KARMA!
And don't fall for the "God told me so" scams.... don't let others eavesdrop on your conversations with Universal Life Energy/God/Deity/Goddess...or whatever YOU call it!

Isn't Spirituality between YOU and GOD anyway? Isn't it about YOUR connection to Spirit?

I pray that Everyone's Intuition is awakened, and that folks learn to LISTEN to it.
That is the TRUE Voice of God!

Don't Dis my Friend...

Is it wrong to be angry at those who would “judge” in the name of Christianity?

I am a Christian, but not a the kind you might think. I have a PERSONAL relationship with Christ. This relationship is not based on a man made book, full of ugliness and hate, confusion and contradiction. My relationship is from studying historically accurate facts....as well as made up stories, and then listening to my own heart, and watching for signs and input from the Divine Reality. I am also Buddhist, Hindu, Pagan, and Gnostic. Most of all, I am Spiritual, and most definitely not religious.

Why do so many people base their beliefs on man-made so called “divine truths”? If I say “God spoke to me”, does that mean that what I tell you he said to me is divine? Come on people... why do you think God gave us a sense of REASON? Why were we provided with tools, like the ability to write and record history? How about scientific theory and research? So we could blindly wonder through life accepting what someone told us God said? I don't think so! What about "God helps those who help themselves"?

Close you eyes and picture a cat. What do you see? Many people would see a house cat, but not everyone! An avid boater might picture a Catamaran (type of sailboat), a doctor might think of a CAT scan, and someone in construction may imagine a Caterpillar bulldozer (even the Caterpillar website is Cat.com).
Those who DO picture a house cat would picture one that is fairly unique to themselves...one person would see a yellow tabby, another a Siamese, and someone else would imagine a Russian Blue. If the person we are asking studied zoology (or maybe even if they didn't), they may picture a black panther, or a lion. If you asked me, I might think of my good friend Kat, or maybe even the Cheshire Cat from Alice In Wonderland. Communication is the act of getting a picture or idea from one mind to another. It is not perfect, in fact, far from it. How often do folks misunderstand one another? Only ALL the time! Everyone sees their own pictures.

A book is one way to communicate. It is a way to accurately pass down info through time. The words stay the same, unless revisions change them, or translations slightly alter the meanings. If a story is written, it can be kept. Scrolls were the way to record words before books.
So if, for... say 500 years, folks told stories to their kids, and their kids told them to their kids and so on....for 500 years remember, how accurate do you think those stories would be to the original?
Did you ever play the gossip game in elementary school? That's the one where the kids are all put in a long line, and a phrase is whispered into the ear of the first child, and they whisper it to the next and so on, until the end of the line. Then the phrase is said out loud and to everyone's surprise it has dramatically changed from the original. Well imagine 500+ YEARS of the gossip game, with different stories recorded on scrolls from time to time.
Now picture a group of men, gathered by a powerful ruler to sit down and decide which of those stories would be put into one “True word of God”. Sure these men were scholars. But they were MEN, meaning they were not perfect, nor were they tempered by the gentler sex's input (sorry guys, but it is true, women are generally less interested in conquering/war).
These guys were there to please a ruler...
So they made the “Bible”, and it was recorded and passed down in writing.

Still we deal with the issue that the very same words make unique pictures or ideas in each persons head.

So if we base our entire spiritual belief system on the in a book, that alone is full of contradictions, analogies, metaphor and stories that were passed down generation after generation for more than 500 years before a group of men (who were gathered by a ruler) sat down and argued over what was “true” and what was not, and if we put all our hearts and souls into blindly believing every single "word for word" is true, and taking everything literally... are we on the right path?

I think THAT whole system IS the antichrist.
Judgment of others is unchristian, yet you see those who claim to be doing “God's work” stand up at the pulpit and sling judgments. These men incite riots, start wars, molest children, encourage killings, train terrorists, and other disrespectful and harmful things “in God's name”.
Why, if those are examples of “God's will” should ANYONE wish to follow that ”god”?

My friend Jesus was the original hippy-dude. He traveled around asking questions of others' beliefs, promoting love and peace, challenging the authority that allowed the temple to be turned into a marketplace, healing (yes, even non-believers!), eating and sharing fellowship, talking to prostitutes, etc, etc. He didn't sell tickets or pass the plate for collections. He didn't act ugly and judgemental. If He bucked something, it was the "system"....all those things people were just supposed to blindly be o.k. with.

He was cool, and himself...and a rebel. He didn't just blindly follow what he was told to follow.

And here's a secret...he was also into the metaphysical!

That's right folks...you've been denied some of the stories...the scriptures that talk about this part of Christ's life and conversations were thrown out of the bible. They couldn't leave room for the unexplained, that would cause folks to ask questions and get their answers from the Divine! There is a lot more you may not know, unless you have asked questions...unless you too are a rebel.

I dare you to do some real research...there's a lot you may not know about this Jesus Christ guy. Read the Gnostic scriptures ( The Nag Hammadi Library) .

Then go even further in your rebelion... check out some of the older religions, like Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism, Paganism, Bon, Confucianism, Epicureanism, Jainism, Judaism, Shinto and Zoroastrianism. You might be surprised to find a lot of similarities between them and the good parts of Christianity. You may even find out where a lot of the stories in the bible actually came from.

Here's my theory: Whatever is truly Divine, God would allow to survive, across the barriers of time and space. The Divine Truth would show up consistently, and “stick” throughout time, and in different religions far from one another (“Truths” that were recorded on different continents, well BEFORE mail and internet..lol).

Divine Truth can be FELT. You just know it. It “fills you with Spirit”. You can actually feel it. Really. And if you are not sure, ask for a sign. You will get it. This blog may be a sign for you...who knows?
No one “true” religion exists, because of the perversions of mankind, over the years. Translations are not accurate (for example, the word “man” in the bible, actually comes from 7 different ancient words, all with slightly different meanings).
Folks have interjected their own beliefs, in their own words, all along. Not always with the intention to deceive, but hoping to help...to make it clearer or easier to understand...but changing the words just the same. And translations from one language to another...well, if you are biligual, you know how "loose" words can translate from one language to another. Just try telling a French joke in English...lol.
The “newer” religions, like Christianity, Scientology (Us 1954), Rastafari (Jamaica, 1920s), The Nation of Islam (Chicago, 1930), Satanism (US, 1966), Eckankar (Las Vegas, 1964), etc. etc. were all created BY man, to address some social issue or personal need, or to simply "get rich".

More people have died “in the name of God” than by any other means.

I say religion is BAD.

Spirituality is GOOD.

Use your GOD GIVEN brain and sense of REASON. Think for yourself, no matter who taught you what you think you believe. Ask QUESTIONS. Don't accept anything “Just because”.
I think it really is that simple. Spirituality is personal. Being Spiritual means reaching inside yourself and finding the words YOU use, to describe what you believe. Yes, fellowship is good. Anywhere two or more are gathered in His name, IS church. That means this blog is Church. Can I get an Amen?
But, judgment, and pushing the words you use to describe what you believe on others is NOT GOOD. Asking them about it, talking to them and finding out if there is reason to share fellowship, because you have Spirituality in common or maybe asking them questions to make them think and enlighten them, or even...GASP... gain enlightenment yourself from really understanding their perspective...
Well, that's what Jesus would do, He would not be ugly and judgmental!

So stop DISRESPECTING my Buddy, man!

 PEACE!!!

And so the story begins...

Ok, here goes.
So, I am sucked into the computer, addicted to one (ok..two) of those cursed games on Facespace or Mybook...or whatever... when I get a notification about a new post from one of those pages I clicked a button on the sidebar indicating that I "liked" it.
This particular notification was about a post talking about my other addiction: my Blendtec blender.

Now, you have to understand, I love my Blendtec. Not just really really like my Blendtec...I LOVE it. Ask anyone who knows me.
And I'll admit it... I am passionate (read: I get totally carried away!). I'll make a freaking smoothie for most anyone I meet. And I'll invite you home from Wal-Mart to do so. I'll even bring my Blendtec over to your HOUSE. I have taken it up to the local produce market to show it to the employees (yes, I made smoothies, "ice cream" and soup for them!). I will talk to a total stranger about my blessed machine-friend, even if it frightens them a little that I am so excited to talk to them about it.
I figure if they are that afraid and don't have the nerve to stop me or walk away, that's their problem.

So I click on the notification, and they have begun talking about...you guessed it...being a Blendtec Junkie.
OMG...I jump on and make three or four posts, getting actual replies from the Blendtec rep! Well, that just fuels the fire!
Finally, she asks if I blog. Thinking that I have a new fan, I mention that I haven't yet (maybe she will be my first follower??) and that I am not even really sure how to blog.
((Now, thinking back....she may have been asking me to ramble somewhere else....lol. No, seriously...))

So this really nice lady, who turns out to be a really cool Jazz (real, old-school jazzy-bluesy) Singer, Artist, Actress and Writer, offers to friend me and give me some tips on blogging. I look around... at her YouTube vidoes and her website and realize she is all the way over on the other side of the country. How cool is THAT? I mean, here I am making friends with someone so far away...and to think I fought being on this social networking site for so long.
Now I'm addicted to two silly online games (ok...three), making friends with someone across the country (and thinking about taking my next vacation to Hollywood so I can go catch her show live), and now BLOGGING for goodness sake!

And all because of a shared love with a blessed machine that sits on it's throne by the sink...my Blendtec!
A shared love, with a really nice lady from across the country... I know first hand she is helpful and supportive. I know from her own blog a bit about her history, and that she is loving, strong, spunky, funny, and best of all... human.
I know from her website (and YouTube) she is talented, with a sexy, sultry voice that moves me (isn't that the very definition of "Art"?)
But she doesn't know me...
yet...
She helped me (and all those who wished I'd take my ramblings somewhere else) by introducing me to blogging.

Ummm...has she any idea the monster she just unleased??
MUAHAhahahahahahaha!!!
(Thanks Mary!)
